Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a wholesome and enriching ballet environment
for children and adults of Eastern North Carolina to explore and develop
their artistic expression, movement and physical wellbeing. NBB will provide
a classically based ballet program that will allow for self-exploration,
creativity within movement and discipline. NBB will present artistic
opportunities for the student and community through performances and summer
camps.
Our Philosophy
-
Every Student will be exposed to an enriching curriculum containing
a wide variety of Ballet dance styles, pantomime and characters in Ballet
stories using props, pictures and costume pieces.
-
Every student will learn classic ballet technique, terminology, history,
costuming and music through a well developed curriculum.
-
Every student will be treated with dignity and respect with positive
reinforcement throughout their training. Each student is expected to
be dignified and respectful of themselves and their art form.
-
Each student will be taught ballet in a variety of styles, learning
how to execute ballet steps within the curriculum in a variety of ballet
combinations. Students will learn how to dance rather
than just learning a dance.
